Evita Vainanidis, Attorney-at-Law, member of the Athens Bar, Partner.
Evita advises domestic and multinational businesses on all aspects of Greek privacy and data protection law, including general compliance issues (such as privacy policies and consent forms), international data transfers and information governance issues. Evita works for clients in a wide range of industry sectors, including pharmaceuticals and healthcare, consumer goods and retail, technology. Evita has a detailed knowledge of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation and has served as speaker on topics relating to the aforementioned area. She serves as an of counsel Privacy Officer in several leading multinational companies located in Greece and has been entrusted with the training of personnel on privacy awareness.
Evita is also actively involved in Commercial and Company Law, Trademarks, Debt Collection, Domain Name, Telecommunications and Internet Law related cases. She has significant experience on competition law, including the filing of notifications to the Hellenic Competition Committee on major Mergers and Acquisitions.
Evita has contributed as a national correspondent to the publication of Electronic Signatures in Law, Stephen Mason, LexisNexis Butterworths, as well as to the publication of European Competition Laws: a Guide to the EC and its Member States, LexisNexis.
Evita is the contact person of the firm with the non-exclusive networks of law firms The Association of European Lawyers (AEL) and TAGLaw.
Evita studied law in the University of Athens, Faculty of Laws (LL.B.) and in the University of London, where she was awarded a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Commercial and Corporate Law. Her subjects were European Competition Law, European Internal Market, Telecommunications Law and Internet Law.
